A sense of anticipation and possibility was explored through portals and paths, movement, suspension and travel. The use of remnants and humble materials suggested the contemplative uncovering of space. Phenomenology, a philosophy that investigates reality as it is experienced, heavily influenced the work. In her attempt to deal with space in terms of its poetic significance the artist placed gently familiar symbols in otherworldly settings. Dimensions are created through a combination of flat graphic surfaces, mirrors and delicate sculptural forms, the juxtaposition of miniature and monumental scale.
